TO: All candidates for Tybee Mayor or Tybee City Council
From: Jim Kluttz/ Pat Locklear
Subject: Candidate Forums
We have arranged for 3 Candidate Forums so that you can publicly state why you are running for office, your platform and what you believe are the main concerns of Tybee residents.
The first forum is scheduled for Thursday, October 2. It will be moderated by Paul Devivo (Tybee Breeze) and Lynn Hamilton (The Tybee News). They will send each of you the format and agenda next week.
The second forum will be on Wednesday, October 15. It will deal primarily with economic issues on Tybee. It will be moderated by the Tybee Tourism Council.
The third forum will be on Thursday, October 30. It will be moderated by Pat Locklear and Jim Kluttz. It will give you an opportunity to address anything you want.
NOTE: ALL FORUMS WILL BEGIN AT 7PM AND BE HELD AT CITY HALL.
Lastly, why are we doing this? Our goal is to achieve 70% voter turnout for this election. We want to make it as easy as possible for voters to meet you and hear your ideas for making Tybee even better. This, we hope, will encourage people to vote. Good luck to each of you.
